1. Purpose of Device
   The Medical Life Saver Bracelet (“the Bracelet”) is a registered medical device designed as an
   emergency medical identification and information access tool. It securely stores and provides
   access to critical health information that may assist emergency responders and healthcare
   professionals in urgent situations such as accidents, sudden illness, or medical emergencies.
   The Bracelet is not a diagnostic instrument, treatment device, or life-supporting system. Its primary
   function is to enable rapid and reliable access to pre-recorded medical data verified by the wearer’s
   treating medical doctor or licensed healthcare professional.
2. User Responsibilities
   The effectiveness of the Bracelet depends on the accuracy and currency of the information it
   contains. The wearer, in consultation with their medical doctor or healthcare provider, is
   responsible for:
   Ensuring that all personal and medical details stored in the Bracelet are accurate and updated
   following medical review or treatment changes.
   Advising healthcare providers and emergency contacts of the existence and purpose of the
   Bracelet.
   – Wearing the Bracelet in a manner that makes it accessible to emergency responders.
   The Bracelet does not replace:
   Professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed healthcare professional.
   Official medical records, prescriptions, or government-issued identification documents.
3. Limitations of Functionality
   The Bracelet operates through NFC technology and requires compatible scanning equipment.
   While designed for wide accessibility, functionality may be impacted by:
   Environmental or technical factors (e.g., device incompatibility, interference).
   Circumstances where the Bracelet is not scanned or recognized.
   The Bracelet does not monitor vital signs, detect medical emergencies, or guarantee the prevention
   of injury, illness, or death.
4. Limitation of Liability
   In line with the Consumer Protection Act (68 of 2008), MLSB Consulting Group (Pty) Ltd is
   committed to providing a product that is safe, effective, and fit for its intended purpose.
   However, MLSB Consulting Group, its affiliates, directors, employees, and suppliers shall not be
   held liable for any:
   Losses, damages, or injuries arising from misuse, non-compliance with instructions, or failure to
   update information.

   This limitation does not exclude liability for proven gross negligence, defective manufacturing, or
   misconduct on the part of MLSB Consulting Group.

5. Regulatory Compliance
   The Bracelet is manufactured and distributed in compliance with:
   South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) licensing requirements under
   the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965.
   ISO 13485:2016 international standards for medical device quality management.
   Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013, ensuring the confidentiality and security
   of personal health data.
   Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008, ensuring the product is safe, effective, and fit for
   purpose.
   6. Acceptance of Terms
   By purchasing or using the Bracelet, the wearer acknowledges that they have read, understood,
   and accepted the terms of this Disclaimer & Limitation of Use Statement.
